Program Description

Event Details

Coral reefs are a beautiful and vital ecosystem essential for overall ocean health and sustainability, teaming with life. Life on the Coral Reef will explore the make-up of coral reefs and why they are critically important, the variety of marine life that inhabits them, the threats coral reefs face and steps we can take to make a difference. This illustrated journey will take us through some of the planet’s most vibrant ecosystems with stunning photographs and video from dives in the Hawaiian Islands, the Gulf of California, the Caribbean and the Indo-Pacific.

Jeff Cinciripino is a scuba diver who has traveled the world observing and capturing the beauty and diversity of the underwater world. Life on the Reef features the images Jeff had taken on his adventure. He is the former owner of Scuba Shack originally in Rocky Hill, CT and is the founder and president of the Scuba Educational Alliance of Connecticut - a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a new generation of ocean stewards.
