On Wednesday, November 29th @3:00 PM Holocaust Survivor, Esia Friedman, will give a talk at the Meriden Public Library in conjunction with the CT Voices of Hope program.

Esia was born in Vilna, Poland. She was a hidden child Holocaust survivor that eventually made her way to Meriden, Connecticut where she taught for 30 years in the Meriden Public School System.

She also taught at the Hebrew Religious School in Temple B’nai Abraham in Meriden and was honored as a “Woman of Valor” by the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.

Esia will speak on her survival and life after the war.

Voices of Hope is a non-profit organization created by descendants of Holocaust Survivors from across Connecticut. Voices of Hope raises social consciousness by connecting people to the inhumanity of the Holocaust and other genocides through quality educational and community programming in order to ensure future generations never forget this horrific period in history.
