Program Description
Event Details
This Women's History Month, step into the untold stories of Frederick Douglass, his mother Harriet Bailey, and his wife Anna Murray Douglass in an immersive, interactive experience that brings history to life.
Douglass is celebrated as an abolitionist and orator, but his journey was shaped by the strength of the women in his life. His mother's courage and resilience planted the first seeds of freedom, while Anna Murray Douglass, a brilliant strategist and activist in her own right, made his escape from slavery possible.
Through powerful storytelling and interactive engagement, explore the legacies of these extraordinary figures and their fight for justice, family, and liberation. This is more than history—it's a conversation on the impact of women in movements for change.
This program is generously funded through the Meriden Foundation.
