Event Details

The Meriden Public Library, in conjunction with the Midstate Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a career and job fair on Tuesday, March 21st at the library's Meriden Mall location.  The fair will be held from 11 am to 6 pm.  It will be divided into two parts.  The career fair will be held from 11 am to 1 pm.  The job fair will be from 2 pm to 6 pm.  Businesses attending may participate in either or both parts.

The career fair is geared toward high school students.  It is a career fair that is intended to introduce students and those entering the work force to different career opportunities and industries.  Employers can demonstrate a production activity if they choose.  For example, an electronics firm is showing how to build an ethernet cable.  Otherwise, employers are free to explain the nature and intent of their industry.

The job fair is a more traditional fair where employers are available to meet with potential employees.  An interview space will be available for those businesses that wish to provide immediate interviews to potential employees.  Computers will be available to complete online applications.  Some computer assistance for the application process will be available.

Come one and all for what is sure to be a fun, educational, & potentially lucrative fair!
