Join William J. Mann, professor of film and popular culture at CCSU and New York Times bestselling author of Bogie & Bacall: The Surprising True Story of Hollywood's Greatest Love Affair, The Contender, and Kate: The Woman Who Was Hepburn, as he dives into some of Hollywood’s most fascinating scandals and what they tell us about the industry.
There will be a 30 minute Q & A session after the program.

**The author will also be available to sign copies of his books if you have your own personal copy to bring to the presentation.

"Mann’s propulsive, gripping history scours the underside of movieland to cover a pulpy terrain of contraband booze, organized blackmail [and] bunco schemes. [His work] is entertaining enough to feel illicit, but his reporting makes it an essential addition to any respectable bookshelf of L.A. history.” — Los Angeles Times
