Learn how origami supports space exploration.
The folding and opening of origami enables compact transporting and precise unfolding of parts of spacecraft, space telescopes and space habitats.
Fold models of some of these systems to explore how they work.
Laurie Averill is a volunteer Solar System Ambassador for NASA’S Jet Propulsion Laboratory and enjoys combining the sharing information about about NASA projects and missions with making things.
